Meeting to consider SB 42, SB 395, SB 1214, HB 86, HB 2370, and HB 2487


Senate Bill 42 (Schwank):  Requires the POW-MIA flag be flown if reasonable and whenever the American and state flags are flown on property owned or under the control of the Commonwealth;

Senate Bill 395 (Brooks):  Requires the POW/MIA flag be flown at all Pennsylvania Turnpike service plazas, welcome centers, and rest stops along with the Commonwealth and U.S. flags;

Senate Bill 1214 (Argall):  Grants a permanent easement from lands in and around SCI Mahanoy, correctional facility in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County;

House Bill 86 (Maloney):  Requires the POW/MIA flag be flown on state grounds and buildings when it can be reasonably accommodated at locations the American flag is also being flown;

House Bill 2370 (M. Keller):  Provides for remote notarization of documents, and;

House Bill 2487 (Ryan):  Freezes COLAs for public officials in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
